Refreshed Design, Same Rugged Soul

The Bolero 2025 doesn’t scream for attention, it commands attention. Mahindra has made thoughtful adjustments to the design, staying true to the essence of the original vehicle and what made it iconic. You will see the refined front grille and the new dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels that add a classier element.

The all-new Stealth Black colour gives a stealthy, sporty attitude for customers who like their SUV with a bit of attitude. The shape remains the same boxy confident stance. It’s still the Bolero we know, but it’s dressed and ready for 2025.

Question to you: If you could add one unique design feature to the Bolero, whether that be LED DRLs, roof-rail, or a panoramic roof, what would it be?

Interiors: Simple, Functional, and Now More Modern

Mahindra has made smart choices when it comes to the interior of the 2025 Bolero. The design is still simple and practical, however the upgrades mark a difference.

  • The updated touchscreen infotainment is intuitive and more responsive and includes USB-C charging to ensure your devices won’t die on longer journeys.
  • The new RideFlo suspension system smooths out uneven terrain while also providing a better quality ride.
  • Leatherette upholstery and dual-tone trims make the cabin feel better finished.

Safety upgrades continue to be an important focus with dual airbags, ABS + EBD, reverse parking sensors, and seatbelt reminders all standard across variants.

The Bolero has never been made for fancy gadgets, but made to be functional, however with the updates to the 2025 model year, the Bolero is finally functional along with comfort.

Engine & Performance: The Tried-and-Tested Workhorse

Under the hood, Mahindra has introduced a familiar powertrain with the 1.5-litre mHawk75 diesel engine; you could already expect its outputs of 76 PS of power and 210 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, and Mahindra has more or less filled its offering to focus on thrill of ownership and fuel economy as opposed to outright performance and speed.

What is new is the RideFlo Advanced Ride &  Yesllance Transit system; which somewhat enhances the driving feel over the previous Bolero – for the better it promised better steering feel, less body roll, and better grip over bumpy surfaces and conditions.

It is still not a sports SUV, and yet that is fine as the Bolt and its new Transit is good at its job – getting you there, every single time.

Price & Variants

Mahindra has priced the new Bolero very strategically this year:

  • Base variant: ₹7.99 lakh* (ex-showroom)
  • Top-end B8 variant: ₹9.69 lakh* (ex-showroom)

The new B8 trim brings the touchscreen system, RideFlo tech, and fresh cosmetic upgrades. Mahindra has simplified the lineup, making it easier for buyers to choose without overpaying for features they don’t need.

What Works and What Doesn’t

What We Liked:

  • Updated styling with the new colour and wheels.
  • The RideFlo system genuinely improves comfort.
  • Touchscreen and USB-C ports make daily use easier.
  • Still one of the most affordable full-size SUVs in the country.

What Could Be Better:

  • No automatic transmission option.
  • Same engine, no power bump.
  • Interiors could still use more finesse compared to newer rivals.

Conclusion: Built to Last, Now Built Smarter

The 2025 Mahindra Bolero certainly doesn’t have to justify itself; its credentials and historical significance are well-established. This time around, Mahindra introduced a more polished vehicle that is a little more intelligent and a little easier to live with while maintaining reliability which made the Bolero a household name in the first place.

At a price of ₹7.99 lakh, it is a well priced SUV that will suit someone who wants reliability, low cost of ownership, and versatility from city driving to country driving.

This is not a fancy SUV. It is meant to be fearless. This is what the Bolero does best.
